The use of Revenue Types is determined largely by the requirements of the customer.
The out of box functionality of Revenue Types, suggest cost and only costs are loaded in as inputs and Revenue is loaded in the Revenue cube. So this means that all in-built functions and values such as contribution are made to work in this specific setup.
A developer could decide not to follow this for the following reasons:
1) Revenue required to be allocated to cost objects
2) Revenue has a complex set of business rules to calculate it which could be specified in Revenue Type Rules
3) Both 1) and 2) apply at the same time
Recommendation is to keep your model as simple as you can then for complexity add where necessary.

Hi Andrei,
Did you find any solution for this? I am also in the same boat - change pointers work for CHANGE but not for CREATE. No entries in CDHDR for CREATE. I also checked by activating update debugging RKAUFTRAG_WRITE_DOCUMENT which creates change logs is not called from KO01. It is only called from KO02.

License Key Issues SYSTEM DOWN
I have a major problem with my HANA One instance, my password has expired. However when I log on the Console and go into the Add-on I do not see a new Keycode add-on. How do I get a new key code for this system. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
UPDATE
I can now no longer get back in to manage my instance in the console, I can still is it but it is shown in the unmanaged area and key system details are missing which is stopping me from connecting. I my system is down so any help would be great appreciated I can access my Hardware key so I am hoping there is away I can generate a new key code and get up and running again.
ANY IDEAS?????

Two Checkbox Groups - Different styles - How to Achieve with CSS?
I am attempting to create two different checkbox groups for filtering data.
Ideally, we would like the Race group to be 2 columns and the Gender group to be 1 column.
I have achieved the two column look with CSS; however, I can't quite figure out how to get the Gender group to remain the default.
Here is my CSS. I am playing with the CSS Class under Display for each component, but haven't had any luck.

- Functionally there is no possibility.
- I opine we should not try technical means like FM, BAdi (if available), because it may have side effects.
- In such situation, we discard the Order by setting Deletion flag and then create a New Order.

A few minutes after posting, I have come up with a solution. Hopefully it will help someone else later.
I updated my CSS to include the following
.checkboxgroup .sapUiVltCell{
width: 50%;
text-align: Left;
float: left;
}
.verticalcheckbox, .sapUiVltCell{
width: 100%;
text-align: Left;
float: left;
}
For the checkbox groups that i want to be vertical, I updated the CSS Class to verticalcheckbox.
For the others, I changed the CSS Class to checkboxgroup.
I'll rename these for easier use later on, but wanted to share anyway.
If anyone knows of a better solution, feel free to share.

Sravya, can you give us some details on what you are using to trigger your cache? When misconfigured it will definitely cause a Cache miss. I used code similar to Holger's above (though not the same) on a test proxy, here was the result:
You can see the first result took 5.29 seconds due to its large size, while the second request, a successful cache hit, only took 183ms.

Hi,
Designer warns you correctly that depending on what you allow between different signature steps signatures may become invalid. If you add more subforms after someone signed the form in one row (dynamic form, repeatable subform so possible) the signature will be invalid (the person who signed did not see the additional subform).
So you'll need to take a closer look (that's why the warning is shown) at your form (i.e, what might happen between signatures) and the signature flow (multiple signatures due to the repeating subform containing the signature field).You'll need to figure out if the "may be invalid" is actually the case.

Plants Abroad invoice error on S/4 Hana 1511
Hi All,
I have setup EU Plants Abroad scenario on an S/4 Hana 1511 system. The business process involves posting WIA invoice. However, we have error message FF 800 - Different tax countries are not permitted in one document when we try to release the invoice to accounting.
This invoice will have different reporting countries for VAT purpose and there are specific code and OSS note 1451436 is already implemented.
Any suggestion on what we might be doing wrong?

The error is on composite provider . But it looks like error is because of all CA views .
I have resolved it by limiting the name of CA view to 18 characters and it worked for me . May be its just a limitation .

I completely agree with TW. 98% of expertise of SAP comes by on job experience. However, I suggest SAP Certification ideally to get an entry into SAP world. I am not discouraging you, but MS may not make any additional difference to you.
As far as modules are concerned Order to Cash (SD) and Accounting to Reporting (FI) are going to be ever green and modules which are in demand. However, wait for release of S/4 HANA Simple Finance.

I suggest you to switch to SAP S/4 HANA Simple Finance which has very hot market as of now. As you are from ABAP/BI background another area which may be suitable to you is Analytics which is gaining tremendous importance after SAP switching for HANA Db.
